Carla Maria Rêgo (CMR) is graduated in Medicine, Master in Sports Medicine and PhD in Medicine (2008) by FMUP. She is Assistant Professor at FMUP and investigator is CINTESIS. She is a fellow and consultant in Pediatrics, with differentiation on pediatric nutrition and special interest in pediatric obesity as also early origins of adult diseases (DOHAaD). She is author and co-author of 71 scientific papers published in peer reviewed journals as also 12 book chapters. She has supervised 28 undergraduate students, 8 MSc and 3 PhD students (in course). She received several grants from scientific societies, namely from the Portuguese Ministry of Health (1), Foundation for Science and Technology (2), and UEFA (1).
