I received a Ph.D. in Population Biology and Ecology from the University of Montpellier 2 (France) in 2012. During my PhD, under the supervision of Ana Rivero and Olivier Duron, I investigated whether a natural Wolbachia infection can alter the quality of mosquitoes as vectors of malaria using a Wolbachia-mosquito-Plasmodium triad with a common evolutionary history. Then, I worked in the team Multidisciplinary Investigation Targeting Ecology and Evolution (MITE2) within the Evolutionary Ecology Group of cE3c at the University of Lisbon, as postdoctoral researcher with Sara Magalhães from 2013 to 2019, then as contracted researcher (FCUL) from 2019 to 2021. During that time, I studied the interactions between the endosymbiontic bacterium Wolbachia and its host, the spider mite Tetranychus urticae. Recently, I obtained a permanent CNRS Researcher position, and joined the team Experimental Evolution of Communities at the Institute of Evolutionary Sciences of Montpellier (ISEM). My research interests lie within eco-evolutionary biology of species interactions, especially host-symbiont interactions, symbiont-symbiont competition or facilitation, and host reproductive interactions. I aim at addressing several issues such as (i) host adaptation to symbiont-induced reproductive manipulations; (ii) the role played by symbionts in host speciation and reproductive interference; (iii) how eco-evolutionary feedbacks resulting from the interplay between reproductive and competitive interactions may facilitate the evolution of reproductive barriers and drive species coexistence.
