Milana Liubarskaya Barata is a Chemical Engineering graduate from the University of Porto Faculty of Engineering (FEUP), having completed her Bachelor's Degree in 2023. She is currently in the final semester of her Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, with specialization in Energy, expected to finish in July 2024. She had internship at the LSRE-LCM/FEUP, where she studied new adsorbent materials to be 3D-printed and used to directly capture water from air by electric swing adsorption. From this internship, a report was developed and later a work in a poster format was presented at a conference, in which she is the first author. Currently, she is engaged in a curricular internship at NET4CO2, a collaborative laboratory, where she is working on her Master thesis focused on the optimization of a conventional carbon dioxide (CO2) electrolyzer towards the electrochemical reduction of CO2 into methanol. She served as a member of the Department of Image and Communication for the XXIII Chemical Engineering Symposium, has been involved in associations such as Mentoria da Universidade do Porto, where she served as a mentor, and has had various roles within the Núcleo de Estudantes de Engenharia Química, including Marketing and Design, Recreational and Cultural, and Pedagogical departments. She is very proficient in English. Her native languages include both Portuguese and Russian and she can speak Spanish at a basic level.
