Daniel Raydan obtained his undergraduate 5-year degree in chemistry, which he finished at Simón Bolívar University in Caracas, Venezuela, in November 2016, and a 2-year Master degree in Organic Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen (UC), Denmark, in September 2019. During his Master thesis he worked in Carbohydrate Chemistry under the supervision of Professor Christian Marcus Pedersen (UC). He is currently a last-year PhD student at NOVA University of Lisbon under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maria Manuel Marques (FCT-NOVA, Organic Synthesis and Chemical Biology) and Dr. Beatriz Royo (ITQB-NOVA, Organometallic Chemistry and Catalysis), working on new pathways for the synthesis of key N-heterocyclic compounds developing earth-abundant metal-catalyzed borrowing hydrogen and dehydrogenative coupling reactions.
