Kelly O’Hara has a Ph.D in Sport Science. Her main research topics are Sports Education, Training and Health, especially in developing learning environments that through sport and physical activity, allow children and young people at risk to learn citizenship values, science educations and social competences. She teaches undergraduate, master and doctoral courses at the University of Beira Interior, Portugal. She is also a researcher at the Research Centre in Phycology and Education. Kelly O’Hara has published several papers, book chapters, and she is reviewer in several international journals. In the Coach field she has experience as Principal Coach in Basketball team, with several National titles, she has also responsible for preparing Young Tennis Players now on the top 100. Dr O’Hara is Coordinating a team of 14 knowledge areas in other to implement a Science Center Mountain, Sustainability and Science.
