Tânia Cerqueira is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto. Her thesis, financed by National Funds through FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, I.P. (2021.04547.BD), explores the relationship between the Gothic tradition and young adult dystopian fiction. She collaborates at the Centre for English, Translation, and Anglo-Portuguese Studies (CETAPS) and is an Executive Board member of the Young Adult Studies Association (YASA). Her main research interests include young adult fiction, dystopian narratives, Gothic literature and culture, and posthumanism.
