In 2017, Cláudia Escada completed her Licentiate Degree in Geology at the University of Lisbon – Faculty of Sciences. Her specialisation was in Geology and Natural Resources, and she achieved a final mark of sixteen (16/20) and a qualification of "Very Good". The Master's Degree in Geophysical Sciences, with a specialisation in Solid Earth Geophysics, was completed in 2019 at the University of Lisbon - Faculty of Sciences with a final grade of 16 (out of 20) and a qualification of "Excellent". She has accumulated a total of three professional experiences. The first was a research fellowship at the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA, Portugal) in 2018 while pursuing a Master's degree. The fellowship was primarily focused on the geochemical and mineralogical characterisation of sediment and rock samples collected in the pockmarks of the Estremadura Spur. The second was an internship at the National Innovation Agency (ANI, Portugal), from 2019 to 2020, where she held the position of Assistant Liaison Industrial Officer. In 2020, she was appointed as a junior consultant at the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA, Portugal), where she provided support to the agency during the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2021, focusing on International Environmental Issues (Climate Change). In 2021, she assisted the same agency in the evaluation of national strategic environmental assessments. More recently, from 2022 to 2024, she was awarded a scholarship to develop a geophysical inversion method using electrical resistivity data and machine learning algorithms to study groundwater reservoirs.
