Christoph Friedrich Johannes Meyer. Completed a PhD in Ecology in 2007 at the University of Ulm (Germany) and obtained a Masters in Biology from the University of Wuerzburg (Germany) in 2003. Was a postdoc at the University of Ulm (2007-2009) and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes at the University of Lisbon (2009-2015). Since 2015 he is a Lecturer in Global Ecology and Conservation at the University of Salford, UK. He has attracted major research funding and has published >50 journal articles, 2 book chapters and 1 book (3198 citations, h-index: 27, i10-index: 50). He has presented his research at > 30 national and international conferences, including the delivery of 2 plenary talks. He has acted as reviewer for >30 international journals and acts as ad hoc reviewer for several major grant schemes. He has supervised 4 PhD and 14 MSc students to completion. His research interests lie at the nexus of biodiversity research, landscape ecology, and conservation biology, mostly using bats as model group.
