Inês Moreira Ribeiro graduated in Biomedical Sciences from Instituto Universitário de Ciências da Saúde and holds a master's degree in Neurobiology from Faculdade de Medicina, Universidade do Porto. She also hold a post-graduation in Biotechnology from Escola Superior de Saúde, Instituto Politécnico do Porto. During her master she joined Addiction Biology lab in Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde da Universidade do Porto where she developed her master thesis, titled "Neuron-microglia crosstalk under methamphetamine: ligand-receptor pairs that may attenuate microglia reactivity" under the supervision of Teresa Summavielle. She worked as researcher under the project "Psychostimulant-induced neuroinflammation: new insight in the crosstalk between microglia, astrocytes and neurons" in the same group in I3S. Once the research fellowship finished she started working as Superior Lab Technician at BebéVida, during 1 year. Recently she owned an FCT grant to start her PhD project focused on studying the impact of hippocampal Adult-born neurons for brain circuitry and behavior in depression.
