Alexandra Catarina Machado Veiga graduated in Applied Biology (School of Sciences, University of Minho, Braga, Portugal) in 2022. The final BSc project, conducted at the Life and Health Research Institute (ICVS) under the supervision of João Filipe Oliveira (PhD), consisted in dissecting the role of astrocytic activity in the regulation of cortico-limbic circuits. Since 2022, AV has been enrolled in the MSc program in Health Sciences at ICVS, focusing on a thesis that explores the role of astrocytic Foxo1 in the dorsal hippocampus, under the supervision of João Filipe Oliveira.
