Adriana Catarina da Costa Gomes
Adriana Gomes is a PhD student in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology at the University of Aveiro. She completed her BSc in Biotechnology
in 2019 and her MSc in Molecular Biotechnology in 2021, both at the University of Aveiro. During her academic path, her BSc
project and MSc thesis focused on exploring coordination chemistry for biomedical applications, which gave her the opportunity
to acquire autonomy in a laboratory environment, try several experimental techniques (e.g. UV-Vis, FTIR, FT-Raman spectroscopies,
TGA, EA), and develop critical thinking. Adriana participated in several scientific meetings and was involved in poster presentations
at national and international conferences. She has co-authored two scientific articles published in international journals
and is currently writing two review articles. Adriana is passionate about life and the unknown. She aims to find out how everything
works, and that is where her path and science meet.
