Bruno J. N. Guerreiro is an Assistant Professor at the NOVA School of Science and Technology, NOVA University Lisbon (FCT/UNL), as well as a Senior Researcher of CTS/Uninova and ISR-Lisbon/LARSYS. PhD in Electrical and Computer Eng. from IST, Portugal, 2013, with expertise focused on theoretical, practical, and technological challenges related to the use of aerospace robotics for civilian applications, with particular emphasis on sensor-based SLAM, model-based predictive control, trajectory planning and tracking, linear and nonlinear control, automatic LIDAR calibration, and modeling and instrumentation of aerospace and marine vehicles, among others. Was a team member in more than 14 national, EU and Macanese funded research and innovation projects, the coordinator in 2 of them, participating in the development of 10 autonomous vehicles prototypes (2 marine and 8 aerial). Coauthor of more than 45 publications, 12 of which in Q1-SCOPUS journals, with more than 500 citations and an h-index of 13 (Google Scholar), while being honored with the Best PhD Thesis award by the Portuguese Robotics Society, as well as several distinctions for coauthored papers or supervised theses.
