André Garcia Vieira de Sá is an assistant professor at the Instituto Politécnico da Guarda (IPG) where he teaches several curricular units within the scientific area of geographic sciences. He is director of the Degree in Topographic Engineering at the Higher School of Technology and Management (ESTG / IPG). He has a degree and master's degree in Geographic Engineering from the University of Coimbra and a PhD in Geodesy and Cartography, a degree obtained in 2019 at the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformatics of the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences, Wroclaw, Poland. Since 2019 he has been a member of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG) developing work in the Atmosphere Remote Sensing sub-commission belonging to Commission 4: Positioning and Applications. Between 2012 and 2020 he was a member of the European COperation in Science and Technology (E-COST) and Portuguese representative in the working group ¿Global Navigation Satellite Systems Tropospheric Products for monitoring severe weather and climate (GNSS4WEC). Between 2013 and 2019 he was a member and collaborator of the Fédération Internationalle des Geómetres (FIG), having been, in 2013, responsible for the creation and promotion of FIG - Young Surveyors Portugal, through the organization of conferences, lectures and meetings. Participated and coordinated several projects related to the acquisition of geospatial information by drone and satellite, within the scope of Reference Systems, Global Positioning Systems and Geographic Information Systems, with field work in several countries: Brazil, Qatar, Cape Verde, Kenya, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Zambia, etc. In 2017 he co-founded Teromovigo ¿ Earth Innovation (https://teromovigo.com/), a research and development company for solutions focused on Geomatics and Geoinformatics that is currently incubated at the Instituto Pedro Nunes (Coimbra). TeroMovigo has been gaining recognition and prominence within its areas of activity, having won, in 2021, a European Space Agency Business Incubation Centers (ESA-BIC) with the project ¿Use of an IMU/GNSS system for gravimetric measurements; a SPARK4Business, in 2022, with the project GEODROUT - Monitoring radiation on uranium waste using UAVs and the Medusa MS-700 sensor¿; a BPI Promove La Caixa award (2022) with the project ¿Agriculture Innovation Using Remote Sensing (AIRS)¿ and in 2023 the first prize in the ESA Tech Transfer Challenge.

  1. ALEX2014: The Alqueva Hydro-Meteorological Experiment. During the four months of the ALEX 2014, the over water fluxes of momentum, heat and mass (H2O and CO2) were obtained with an integrated Open-Path CO2 /H2O Gas Analyser and 3D Sonic Anemometer, mounted on a floating platform (Fig.1) belonging to the Portuguese Environment Agency.
