Catarina Possidónio holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Iscte - University Institute of Lisbon. Currently, she is a researcher at HEI-Lab: Digital Human-Environment Interaction Labs, and Assistant Professor at Universidade Lusófona and Instituto Piaget. Catarina has been supervising students across different institutions and acting as a reviewer for manuscripts submitted to renowned international scientific journals in Psychology. Additionally, she holds the position of Scientific Editor at PSICOLOGIA, the scientific journal of the Portuguese Psychology Association (APP). Specialized in social psychology and consumer behavior, Catarina is driven by a passion to advance scientific knowledge that facilitates transitions towards healthier, more sustainable, and ethical behaviors - focusing on (1) studying human-animal relationships, (2) promoting the adoption of plant-based diets and (3) the adoption of bioplastic products in everyday consumption patterns. Working with different methodologies, including quantitative and qualitative data analysis, her research work has been published in esteemed international scientific journals and has been presented at several national and international conferences, communicating key findings to different audiences. Motivated to design and implement research studies that deliver relevant insights and actionable recommendations, Catarina strives to make a meaningful impact in promoting more sustainable societies.
