Liliana Fidalgo is an Invited Adjunct Professor at the Department of Technology and Applied Sciences, at the Agrarian School of Polytechnic Institute of Beja. She obtained her PhD degree in Food Technology and Nutrition in 2019 (Univessity of Aveiro). Since 2010, she developed good work skills in nonthermal technologies, specifically in high pressure processing (HPP), applied to food preservation. Recently, she is also developing work in lipid profile characterization, namely in gas chromatographic techniques, and other food analyses. As a result of all work, she published 46 papers in scientific journals, 6 book chapters, and more than 50 communications in national and international meetings (h-index of 22).

This meeting began in 1963, when a group of scientists and engineers, involved in research in the HP field, decided to meet annually. HP research is a fast growing discipline, yielding interesting and exciting results in many fields of science, technology and biotechnology, and HPRG contributes to this development by bringing people together.
