Júlio Henriques, born in Lisbon, Portugal, earned a degree in Engineering Physics from NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT-NOVA) in 1995, followed by a Master's degree in Physics from Instituto Superior Técnico - Technical University of Lisbon (IST-UTL) in 1998. He later obtained his PhD in Engineering Physics from IST-UTL in 2002. Since 2006, Júlio Henriques has been a dedicated researcher at the Institute of Plasmas and Nuclear Fusion of Instituto Superior Técnico (IPFN-IST), focusing on developing innovative plasma technologies with diverse applications, including ecological, biomedical, nanomaterials, agricultural, and hydrogen production. Currently, he is actively involved in developing a novel ecological production method for fertilizers using plasma technology. With an impressive h-index of 23 (Google Scholar), Júlio Henriques is a co-inventor of seven issued patents and two submitted patents. He has co-authored nine book chapters and has published 43 articles in international peer-reviewed journals, in addition to over 103 articles in conference proceedings. His expertise has been shared through 113 presentations at international conferences, including 28 invited lectures and 24 oral presentations. Júlio Henriques has demonstrated his commitment to education by co-supervising master's and PhD students and serving as a member of academic juries for both master's and doctoral theses. Moreover, he has contributed significantly to the scientific community by reviewing manuscripts for more than twenty prestigious scientific journals, such as Nanotechnology, 2D Materials, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Journal of Applied Physics, and Applied Physics Letters. In his role as a Researcher/Teacher, Júlio Henriques has made substantial contributions to 13 national and international projects, including serving as a work package leader for an H2020-FETOPEN project and as a co-investigator responsible for an FCT project.
