Curriculum Vitae
Beatriz Martínez Rojas
Beatriz Martínez Rojas is a dedicated researcher with a PhD in Biotechnology from the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia,
completed in February 2024. She holds a Master's Degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Genetic Biology Research from the Universitat
de València (2018) and a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry from Universidad de Córdoba (2017). Beatriz has published one first-authored
paper and 6 co-authored publications. Her second first-athored paper is currently under revision. She has undertaken international
research stays at the University of Copenhagen and Imperial College London. Her academic contributions include the supervision
of an undergraduate thesis on neural regeneration and impartment of teaching seminars in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology,
and Cell Culture. Additionally, she has attended numerous international conferences and completed several professional specialization
courses. She has expertise in performing in vivo experiments using rodent models of spinal cord injury, optogenetics, behavioural
analysis, histological processing, cell culture and molecular biology. Currently, She is a postdoctoral researcher of the
Novel Approaches in Nervous System Regenerative Medicine lab at the ICVS (Braga, Portugal) where she is focused on engeneering
the MSC secretome for CNS-targeting as a Spinal cord injury treatment.
