Vítor Crista is a dedicated researcher at the Research Group on Intelligent Engineering and Computing for Advanced Innovation and Development (GECAD), concurrently pursuing a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence Engineering at the Porto School of Engineering (ISEP). He earned his Bachelor's degree in Informatics Engineering from the same esteemed institution. Vítor has been an integral part of the GECAD team since 2022, where he has demonstrated a keen interest in various research areas. While he previously contributed to the FoodFriend project until its completion, he shifted his focus toward his master’s thesis. His current research centers around human-computer interaction systems for the elderly, showcasing his commitment to leveraging technology for societal benefit. In addition to his academic pursuits, Vítor holds some publications in the artificial intelligence field, with a particular interest in machine learning and gamification. In recognition of his work, Vítor was awarded the Electronics Journal MDPI Best Paper prize by the Università Degli Studi Dell'Aquila for his first-authored article titled "A Hybrid Model to Classify Physical Activity Profiles," which was presented at PAAMS 2022.
