Solange Nunes has been a member of iLAPP - CFUMUP (Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Astrophysics and Particle Physics - Center of Physics from the University of Minho and the University of Porto) since June 2020. Her research focuses on Gravitational Waves (GW) Astrophysics and the application of ML and DL methods. Her main contributions are the application of DL methods to detect GW from the merger of binary black holes or binary neutron stars and parameter inference from spectrogram data and the development of DL methods to perform classification and parameter inference on Time Series of Rotational Core-Collapse Supernovae numerically-generated GW.
