2025/03/01 - 2025/03/07 The school aligns with the forthcoming results of the most recent gravitational-wave (GW) observations, specifically from the O4 run of advanced LIGO-VIRGO and the Japanese KAGRA detector, projected for conclusion by the end of 2024. A profound understanding of the growing amount of data necessitates inter-disciplinary expertise in astrophysics and astronomy, numerical relativity, as well as nuclear and particle physics experiment and theory. 61st Karpacz Winter School on Theoretical Physics
2024/09/08 - 2024/09/15 Nuclear Astrophysics is an exciting field with many highlights in recent years in observational astronomy, simulating astrophysics, experimental and theoretical nuclear physics. Therefore, the training and interaction of young scientists, PhD students and postdocs, are important for further progress and expand this community.

2024/08/26 - 2024/08/30 The focus of the conference is the theory of the Standard Model and beyond at finite temperature and density and in and out of equilibrium, including applications to cosmology, astrophysics and relativistic heavy-ion collision experiments. Among the topics to be discussed are: QCD in extreme conditions and dense nuclear matter Heavy-ion collisions and the Quark-Gluon Plasma Quantum fields in and out equilibrium and thermalisation Baryogenesis and leptogenesis Electroweak phase transition beyond the Standard Model

2024/07/22 - 2024/07/26 The Spanish and Portuguese Relativity Meeting (EREP 2024) will take place from 22 to 26 of July 2024 at the Department of Physics of the University of Coimbra, Portugal. EREP is a series of annual conferences aiming to bring together scientists working across different research fields in gravitation and related areas.

2024/05/16 - 2024/05/25 The 60th anniversary edition of the Karpacz Winter School on Theoretical Physics and WE-Heraeus Physics School is devoted to the topic Phase transitions - From the Laboratories to the Cosmos.
Workshop
60th Karpacz Winter School on Theoretical Physics & WE-Heraeus Physics School
2023/12/04 - 2023/12/08 this year's Zimányi School Winter Workshop that aims to summarize the developments of 2023 in high energy heavy ion physics, with particular attention to the new data emerging from the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) and the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), SPS and J-PARC. We will discuss results from other high energy nuclear and particle physics facilities of the world, most importantly lower energy colliders, exploring the nuclear phase diagram (with special attention to FAIR and NICA).
Workshop
23rd ZIMÁNYI SCHOOL WINTER WORKSHOP ON HEAVY ION PHYSICS
2023/09/17 - 2023/09/23 The subject of the 63-rd School will be physics of nuclear matter at extreme densities and high temperatures. In recent decades we have witnessed an unprecedent progress in unraveling the properties of strongly interacting hadronic matter at large temperatures. Experiments performed at RHIC at Brookhaven National Laboratory and at CERN provided a wealth of data that led to the discovery of a new state of matter, so called, quark-gluon plasma.
Workshop
63rd Cracow School of Theoretical Physics
2023/07/26 - 2023/07/28 XQCD is a series of international workshop-style conferences, held annually, which aims at covering recent advances in the theory and phenomenology of QCD under extreme conditions of temperature and/or baryon density, together with related topics.
Conference
19th International Conference on QCD in Extreme Conditions (XQCD 2023)
Department of Physics (University of Coimbra), Portugal
2023/07/23 - 2023/07/25 The 2023 XQCD PhD school is an accompanying event to the 19th International Conference on QCD in Extreme Conditions (XQCD 2023).

Department of Physics (University of Coimbra), Portugal
2022/10/13 - 2022/10/14 The workshop "Transient Sky with Gaia" (indico.cern.ch/event/1170296/) was aimed to discuss phenomena related to transient events, i.e. variable stars, supernovae and local cosmology, tidal disruption events, GW events, AGN variability.
