Marisa Filipe holds a Ph.D. degree in Psychology (2010-2014) and a Master's degree in Clinical and Health Psychology (2009) from the University of Porto. Marisa has published 22 articles in high-ranked journals, 18 in Q1 journals (H-index of 11 according to Google Scholar). She has been the first author of 14 of these articles and the leader author of 3. She also wrote six book chapters for prestigious international publishers. Over the years, Marisa has significantly contributed to the fields of language (e.g., prosody, pragmatics, writing, literacy), executive functions (EF), and neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., autism spectrum disorders). Furthermore, Marisa has actively participated in various funded research projects and has authored Portuguese translations/adaptations of multiple assessment tools such as the Communication and Symbolic Behavior Scales - Infant-Toddler Checklist, the Comprehensive Executive Function Inventory, the Communication Play Protocol, the Quantitative Checklist for Autism in Toddlers, the First Year Inventory, the Developmental Concerns Questionnaire, and the Profiling Elements of Prosody in Speech-Communication. Alongside her research contributions, Marisa is dedicated to knowledge dissemination and transfer. As such, she has presented talks at international and national meetings and has taught or collaborated in Ph.D. and MA seminars. Importantly, Marisa has also been actively engaged in community events, facilitating the potential for clinical translation of research findings and outputs. These include delivering talks at schools, participating in healthcare seminars, and developing Professional Development Courses. She has also gained extensive clinical experience as the coordinator of the University of Porto - Neuropsychological Service Children. Through her involvement in these activities, Marisa contributes to bridging the gap between research and clinical practice, benefiting the wider community.
