Albertina Gonçalves Rios

Albertina Gonçalves Rios. Completed the Ph.D. on Chemical and Biological Engineering by Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto, in May 2023, with the thesis Protein Separation and Purification by Cyclic adsorption Processes. This work was developed in the LSRE-LCM (Laboratory of Separation and Reaction Engineering - Laboratory of Catalysis and Materials) under the supervision of Professor Alexandre Ferreira, and co-supervised by Professor Ana Mafalda Ribeiro, and Professor Alírio E. Rodrigues. She also completed the Integrated Master in Chemical Engineering by Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto in July 2017. The master's thesis was developed in the LSRE-LCM with the subjected of dyes adsorption. She has published 6 scientific articles, organized 1 event, and gave 4 oral presentations at conferences. Works in the area of Engineering and Technology with emphasis on Chemical Engineering. In this curriculum the main work was focused on adsorption processes, first dyes adsorption for wastewater treatment, and then protein separation and purification by size exclusion and ion exchange simulated moving bed.
