I am a professional coach, a goal-driven and creative research manager and a highly motivated researcher with an interdisciplinary research career. Since Ifinished my PhD at University of Salamanca in May 2013, my trajectory has evolved from Physical Chemistry through biotechnology applied to Cultural Heritage Microbiology to Science and Technology Management. From November 2013 to May 2019, I integrated the HERCULES Lab (University of Évora) where I was dedicated to the development of new biotechnological tools for turning signalization of Cultural Heritage deteriogenic microbials more affordable and accessible: i) from 2014 to 2019, benefiting from a post-doctoral Fellowship awarded by FCT (SFRH/BPD/100754/2014); and ii) between 2016 and 2019, also in the frame of the project MICROTECH-ART (PTDC/BBB-IMG/0046/2014 also financed by FCT), that I conducted as PI. The development of the role of PI led me to acquire experience in planning, managing and executing research projects and in coordinating research teams but, above all, allowed me to discover that the knowledge, know-how, strategic vision, communication capacity and passion for Science that I owns could generate further value for the scientific community and the society when applied to Science Communication, Dissemination and Management (SCDM). Thus, driven by the purpose of orienting my career towards SCDM and of supporting research teams and units on reaching their goals: i) in 2018 I complemented my education with a master in Coaching and Design Thinking (ACTP program accredited by the International Coach Federation) and, for 6 months, I combined the research activities with those of internal coach at HERCULES Lab; ii) in June 2019 I integrated the Public Health Research Center of the NOVA National School of Public Health as Science and Technology Management Fellow and iii) I developed Management of Science & Technology activities at the Linking Landscape, Environment, Agriculture And Food (LEAF) R&D Unit of Instituto Superior de Agronomia, Universidade de Lisboa (from January to August 2021) and at Center for Psychological Research and Social Intervention (CIS-Iscte) R&D Unit of Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. Throughout my career I have actively participated in more than 10 research projects and 50 contributions to national and international conferences and as inventor in national and international patent applications (1+1). I have authored/co-authored 27 articles in international peer-reviewed scientific journals and numerous proceedings and abstracts published in books, books of abstracts and peer-reviewed journals in different languages (English, Spanish and Portuguese). My particular interest in science and research dissemination led me to contribute to the organization and development of conferences, workshops and seminars and to participate in divulgation activities with oral communications, publications in magazines and films, among others. I enjoy teaching, supervising and mentoring students (I have supervised bachelor and PhD thesis, master and post-doctoral fellows and during my PhD I collaborated in teaching activities) and I also like to organize and develop activities with children and adolescents (I supervised students of different editions of the Internships Ciência Viva no Laboratório, collaborated in the development of workshops offered by HERCULES laboratory to children and teenagers and, for many years I was summer camp monitor of campers aged 9-18 years old in an international summer camp). Now I keep contributing to scientific progress by managing Science at CIS-Iscte while continuing education in areas of my interest (mindfulness, event planning, coaching and design thinking).
