Diana Frasquilho is a postdoc researcher enthusiastic about mental health and with a strong focus towards improving peoples’ quality of life and healthcare. She is currently working in the Breast Cancer Unit at the Champalimaud Foundation Clinical Centre under European Union’s Horizon 2020 funded research project No 777167 entitled BOUNCE: Predicting Effective Adaptation to Breast Cancer to Help Women to Bounce Back. In 2017, she completed her PhD in Mental Health from NOVA Medical School (NMS), Nova University of Lisbon, for which she was awarded an FCT studentship and an honorable mention from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security for addressing a key societal challenge . Her dissertation included 11 peer-reviewed publications focusing the effects of an adverse life context (economic recession) on mental health. She is also a Clinical and Health Psychologist, specialized in Community Psychology, Psychotherapy and Occupational Psychology, and has a Master degree from the Faculty of Psychology, Lisbon's University, Portugal since 2008. After her PhD, she held a 2-year auxiliary researcher position at NMS and worked for 4 renowned international R&D projects: World Mental Health Survey Initiative Portugal (WMHSI) led by WHO and Harvard; EEA Grants Crisis Impact Study; EU-Compass for Action on Mental Health and Wellbeing commissioned by EU Commission; WHO QualityRights initiative with the National Mental Health Program and Council. During her Ph.D she was a researcher in the WHO Health Behaviour in School-aged Children Study (HBSC). Overall, she published 25 peer-reviewed papers, authored 3 book chapters , 11 publications in conference proceedings, 48 oral communications at national and international scientific meetings and co-authored 9 reports. Co-led 8 conferences/meetings, facilitated 3 training sessions and 2 dissemination workshops. Was invited as jury member for 2 MSc thesis, as an expert in 2 panels and to give 8 lectures. Also tutored an award-winning PhD student and is currently tutoring 2 psychology master students.
