1996 - 2008 My dedication and afterwards my coordination at Virus Markers Section of the Blood Bank of CHUP involved me in studies that were published and presented abroad namely at Institut Pasteur [where I met Françoise Barré-Sinoussi and Luc Montagnier (Nobel Prize of Medicine in 2008 for HIV discovery) and Antoine Gessain ] and at the Institute of Human Virology (IHV) which director is Professor Robert Gallo; in 1996-1998 and in 2006 and 2008 our works were the only Portuguese works.
