Susana Cristina Morais da Fonseca has a degree in Chemistry, a Master degree in Multimedia Education and a Ph.D. in Science Education and Communication from the Faculty of Science of the University of Porto (FCUP). She is a teacher of Physics and Chemistry at the S. Pedro da Cova School Group (AESPC). She is engaged with the theme of Environmental Education, coordinating the implementation of the ECO-Schools project at this institution, which has been repeatedly awarded by ABAE in recent years. Her main area of research is the teaching/learning of Chemistry, with special interest in the specific nature of Chemistry and the use of didactic approaches than can facilitate the abstraction process involved in the learning of Chemistry. She has worked on the creation of several didactic simulations and educational games. She participated in the European project CROSSNET, co-authoring a chapter in a book about facing boundaries in the teaching Chemical Equilibrium. She is the intellectual creator of the Zoom+ teaching materials (an integral part of the textbook Zoom, from Areal Editores). She is co-author of the publication Does the addition of inert gases, at constant volume and temperature, affect Chemical Equilibrium? in Journal of Chemical Education. Records several communications in Conferences concerning Science and Education.
