Luís Sanhudo (male) is the Head of BIM Intelligence at BUILT CoLAB, the Collaborative Laboratory for the Built Environment. Luís has a BSc+MSc in Civil Engineering (Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto – FEUP) and a PhD in Civil Engineering, Constructions (FEUP). He previously worked as a researcher at FEUP and INESC TEC under different research grants. He also worked as a guest monitor at FEUP and the Portuguese Order of Engineers, lecturing in six distinct units and participating in the supervision of nine MSc dissertations and one PhD thesis. Luís is currently a member of FEUP’s Institute of R&D in Structures and Construction (CONSTRUCT), as well as FEUP’s Research Centre for Building Information Modelling, having also participated as a member of the organizing/scientific committee in four international and national conferences. His main research focuses on Artificial Intelligence (primarily machine learning), Building Information Modelling and laser scanning, with further research on digital twins, Internet-of-Things, augmented reality, and virtual reality. Luís has over 50 publications on these topics (h-index: 14; i-10 index: 14).
