Ana Brígida Paiva is an Invited Assistant Lecturer and a doctoral student of Modern Literatures and Cultures at NOVA University Lisbon. She was awarded a Ph.D. research grant by the Centre for English, Translation and Anglo Portuguese Studies (CETAPS), funded by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT). She completed her Master's degree in Translation Studies at NOVA University Lisbon with a dissertation on the Portuguese translations of Roald Dahl’s children’s books. Her current research focuses predominantly on the representations of Macau and Hong Kong in Portuguese and British children’s literature of the 20th and 21st centuries, as well as on Literary Trauma Studies and Translation Studies.
