Armando Cordeiro was born in Portugal in 1976, received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa in 1999. He received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from IST, Technical University of Lisbon, in 2004 and 2015, respectively. His research interests include power electronics, variable speed drives, automation systems and electrical vehicles. He is also professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation of Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa for the area of Automation since 2006. His present research interests include the areas of power-electronic converters, industrial automation and robotics. Integrated Investigator in the INESC-ID Lisbon, GESC Group (Green Energy and Smart Converters Group) since 2019.
