Anabela Caetano Santos is an integrated researcher at ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (IUL), CIS-IUL. Postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory of Distance Education and eLearning (LE@D), Portuguese Open University. She was selected as a 2023-2025 member of the CASEL Weissberg Scholars Program - Innovators of Social, Emotional, and Academic Learning. She holds a degree and master's in Psychomotor Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Human Kinetics, University of Lisbon, a master's in Science on Emotions at ISCTE - University Institute of Lisbon, and a PhD (double degree) in Education (University of Lisbon) and in School Psychology and Human Development (University of São Paulo). Her research focuses on social and emotional learning, student engagement, self-regulated learning, resilience, well-being and mental health; developing and performing impact assessments of prevention programmes (universal and selective) for children and youth; and developing teachers' training (both for preservice and in-service teachers). She has experience in teacher training (>550h) and is a guest professor (one-off collaboration) at five universities in Portugal, Brazil and Cape Verde. She has been collaborating on national and international projects, having acquired project management skills, decision-making, data collection and analysis, writing scientific documents, and organising dissemination events.
