Luis Jacinto is a Research Group Leader at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) and a Professor of Neuroengineering
at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), Portugal. He holds a PhD (University of Minho) and MSc (FEUP,
University of Porto) in Biomedical Engineering and a BSc in Biology (FCUP, University of Porto). Dr. Jacinto received doctoral
training at the Center for Neural Engineering, Penn State University, USA and and the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute
(ICVS), University of Minho, Portugal, combining his mixed biological/engineering science background to study brain dynamics
across several brain disorders. He held postdoctoral positions at the Brain Institute, University of Utah, USA and ICVS,
Portugal. Dr. Jacinto's lab develops and uses novel neuroengineering tools to probe, modulate and model the neurophysiology
of brain circuits involved in neuropsychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders.
