Marta Sousa Silva concluiu o Doutoramento em Biologia - Biologia Molecular em 2003/09 pela Universidade de Lisboa - Faculdade de Ciências. Marta Sousa Silva completed her PhD in Biology - Molecular Biology in 2003/09 at the University of Lisbon - Faculty of Sciences. She is a Contract Principal Investigator at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. Established the Metabolomics Unit in the Laboratory of FTICR and Structural Mass Spectrometry, based on the ultra-high resolution and mass accuracy of FTICR mass spectrometry. This laboratory is associated with the Portuguese Mass Spectrometry Network (RNEM) and provides advanced technology and innovative services in the area of applied and fundamental sciences and to industry. He is also co-PI of the Portuguese center at the European Network of Fourier-Transform Ion-Cyclotron Resonance Mass Spectrometry Centers (INFRAIA H2020, proj. 731077) and member of the Steering Committee of the National Mass Spectrometry Network (RNEM). Since 2018, he has been a member of the Group of National Experts on Viticulture and Methods of Analysis of the National Commission of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (CNOIV), and a member of the COVID-19 Mass Spectrometry Coalition since 2020.
