Dra. Ana Horovistiz has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering of Lorena, EEL-USP, master in Mechanical Engineering, Universidade Estadual Paulista, UNESP, PhD in Sciences and Materials Engineering, University of Aveiro, Portugal. She has proficiency in the following areas: Digital microscopy applied to microstructural and surface characterization of engineering materials; Different techniques for materials processing, in particular on ceramic materials; structural characterization from XRD data analysed with Rietvield refinements; electric and electrochemical characterization of materials, using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Dr Horovistiz is researcher at the Center for Mechanical Technology and Automation (TEMA) -Department of Mechanical Engineering-University of Aveiro FAMASI Project - Manufacturing by Intelligent and Sustainable Machining (Co.Pi). Currently, she is PRR science manager on University of Aveiro. She has published 40 articles in indexed journals; 5 conference articles; 2 chapters of books. Supervision of master's theses (3 completed and 1 on going) and 2 doctoral thesis (on going).
