Beatriz Vieite

Beatriz Vieite completed her Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 2019 and Master's Degree in Applied Biology in 2021, both at the University of Aveiro (UA). She published an article in a peer-reviewed journal and conference paper in an international conference. Beatriz also participated and presented at several conferences and in two photography exhibitions. In the last years, she's been working with biological collections in science communication activities and contents, and specimen digitization. Her science communication activities also extend to other projects, such as Gamers4Nature. Currently, she is a PhD student in UA with an FCT doctoral scholarship, and her thesis is focused on science communication through biological collections. In 2023, she co-created the NEDD- Núcleo de Estudantes de Doutoramento do DigiMedia, student group that provides support and conducts activities for the PhD students of DigiMedia - Digital Media and Interaction Research Centre.
