Doctoral researcher in philosophy at the Department of Applied Social Sciences (DCSA) of Nova University Lisbon and the Interuniversity Centre for the History of Science and Technology (CIUHCT). I was awarded a research scholarship by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) to investigate the historical emergence and philosophical principles of rewilding, a novel approach to restoration ecology. My personal and professional interests lie in the fields of environmental philosophy, ecology, and the history of ecological ideas. My undergraduate thesis, titled "The Media Construction of the Environmentalist Movement in Spain" (Miguel Hernández University of Elche, 2017), primarily investigates the media impact of Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente. This work has been cited in two published books: "La estirpe de los libres" (2018) by the environmental journalist Benigno Varillas, and "Félix, un hombre en la Tierra" (2020) by environmental broadcaster Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente. With a keen interest in further exploring the history of ecological ideas, I pursued a Master's degree in the History of Science at the López Piñero Institute. My Master's thesis, The Rise and Fall of Institutional Conservationism in the Late Francoist Period and the Spanish Transition (López Piñero Inter-University Institute, 2020), examines the dynamics of conservationism in Spain during a pivotal historical period. Subsequently, I embarked on doctoral research at the University of Sevilla, focusing on the history of environmental conservation under the guidance of Professor Lino Camprubí, author of Birds Without Borders: Ecological Diplomacy and the WWF in Franco's Spain (2020) and recipient of an ERC-CoG 2020 award. Today, at NOVA, Professor Camprubí continues to serve as my supervisor, in collaboration with Professors Davide Scarso and Domingos Lopes. Additionally, I have participated in public lectures on environmental philosophy and history, featuring discussions with notable figures such as Benigno Varillas, Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente, Lino Camprubí, and Isabel Moreno. I have a YouTube channel where I engage in environmental outreach, share my research, and publish interviews and reports featuring individuals involved in nature conservation.
