Inês Martins Sequeira Rodolfo (141F-22A4-0EA4)

Curriculum Vitae

Inês Rodolfo is a researcher in human-centered design with a focus on user experience and is a member of NOVA LINCS lab at Nova School of Science and Technology. She completed her PhD in Digital Media from the UT Austin | Portugal program (2017), where she was involved in various initiatives, including lecturing at Future Places Doctoral Consortium and being an exploratory visitor at UT Austin. She established partnerships with companies from the Portuguese Ministry of Health, was part of NOVA Health Research Group and partnered with the LASIGE Lab from the University of Lisbon. Her research has resulted in multiple publications in international conferences, such as CHI, BCS HCI, NordiCHI and SIGACCESS. She has also been invited as a guest lecturer at Nova Medical School since 2018 and has received several awards during her curricular path, including recognitions from the industry in the domains of cloud-based platform solutions and clinical software, and an honorable mention for her PhD thesis in the category of progress of medicine in its application to elderly people. She was invited to teach at the Superior School of Arts and Design (ESAD) from the Polytechnic of Leiria, where she taught several courses from 2018 to 2021. At ESAD, she became an integrated member of LIDA lab and created a new master's course named Design for Health and Wellbeing, a pioneer cycle of studies in Portugal, combining knowledge from the fields of communication design, product design, life sciences, and engineering. She also introduced at the school the MW symposium (Man-Machine Wellbeing Webinar), to promote research on emergent technologies for sustainable futures. In 2022, Inês took maternity leave from her scientific activity.
