Narrative CV – Template 1. Scientific and professional profile and career: My academic training lies at the intersection between civil and environmental engineering, hygiene, safety and health at work. I have a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering (2000), a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering (2003) and a PhD in Hygiene, Health and Safety at Work (2012) from the University of León, Spain, where I also completed my Advanced Degree. Studies in Hygiene, Health and Safety at Work.In 2014 I joined the Higher School of Technology and Management, as a Guest Adjunct Professor, which allowed me to follow the development of its teaching and research activities since that year. I was also part of the CIICESI team, as a collaborative and integrated member. I am currently a collaborating research member of this research center. 1. Contributions to science and society a) Contributions to the generation of new ideas, tools, methodologies or knowledge: During my academic and scientific career, I focused on different aspects related to hygiene, safety and health at work and management systems, namely those related to quality, environment and safety in organizations. These themes merited a qualitative and quantitative approach, to explore the phenomena from different perspectives. b) Contributions to the training and career development of researchers and/or research teams: Over the years I have held several management positions within the academy. From member of the technical-scientific council and the pedagogical council, member of juries of public examinations for undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees, supervisor of academic work for undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees, member of the support committee for the master's degree in integrated quality management, environment and security, contributed to the professional development of many professionals (some of them remained in academia). I am currently director of the professional higher technical course in integrated systems management and a member of the technical-scientific council of the Industry Business School (IBS). Additionally, collaborating research member of the Center for Innovation and Research in Business Sciences and Information Systems and the Work Analysis Laboratory (LAT), of the Department of Production Engineering, at the Technology Center of the Federal University of Paraíba since 2015, where I have the opportunity to directly impact the development of my career in the research team. I was also able to directly impact the career development of many researchers nationally, as a supervisor for their research (Masters degrees: 7 completed and 4 ongoing). Furthermore, I was also involved in external examination boards of 1 doctorate and 11 masters at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. c) Contributions to the scientific community: I contributed to the scientific community in several ways: · Member of the Scientific Committee and Technical-scientific Reviewer of the "International Symposium on Occupational Safety and Hygiene - SHO, organized by the Portuguese Society of Occupational Safety and Hygiene from 2018 to 2023. Also member of scientific committees and peer reviewer at national events ; . I was a reviewer for the international journal - Indoor and Built Environment; . Member of the research group - Comfort, Efficiency and Safety at Work (CESET) at the Federal University of Paraiba. I was a member of the e-Learning and Pedagogical Innovation Unit of the Polytechnic of Porto (E-IPP), participating in various technical and research activities within the scope of e-Learning and Pedagogical Innovation. d) Contributions to society: Regarding my contribution in terms of transferring knowledge to organizations and society in general, there are some points that I can highlight.
