I am principal researcher at Laboratório Associado para a Química Verde/ Rede de Química e Tecnologia (LAQV/REQUIMTE) in Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (FCT NOVA). I published 147 papers and 4 book chapters. SCOPUS data (23-07-2024) shows a total number of citations of over 10 000, an average citation per paper over 65, a number of self-citations of less than 6%, an h-index of 46 and a k-index of 219. I have 26 papers with more than 100 citations (including 1 > 1900 cit, 2 > 400, and 9 > 200). Papers were published on international peer reviewed journals with good impact factor. Several papers appeared as highly cited papers and/or hot papers (11 highly cited papers and 1 hot paper (NATURE)). I collaborated with more than 275 different co-authors. My work was presented 190 times with the following distribution (2 plenary, 10 invited, 42 orals and 144 posters). In this CV I have only uploaded the plenary and invited presentations. I supervised 4 PhD thesis (finished) and have now 2 PhD students. I have coordinated or being member of the team in 25 projects from distinct funding schemes with a value of more than 2 Meuros for my team. I peer-reviewed papers for more than 20 recognized international journals (JCR), and have juried 10 theses (PhD and master). My scientific research area is Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, with an emphasis on the synthesis and characterization of ionic liquids, physical chemistry of ionic liquids and mixtures, gas hydrates, application of ionic liquids in distinct research fields (extraction and separations, electrochemistry, CO2 capture and separation, gas &oil industry, protein purification and crystallization).
