Rui Pedro Labrincha Azevedo
Rui Azevedo has a PhD in Civil Engineering by the University of Minho - Portugal and is associate Professor of Occupational
Health and Safety in the Science and Business Department of the university of Maia.
During the years of 2012 to 2020 was vice Rector of the University Institute of Maia - ISMAI. He lectures in BSc and MSc Courses
in the area of Risk Management; Risk Assessment; Occupational Health and Safety Management System and Psychosocial Risks Assessment.
He is an integrated Memebr of NECE - Research Center for Business Sciences at University of Beira Interior in the Organisational
Management research line.
At the University of Minho, he is a collaborate researcher in the ALGORITMI Research Center in the Industrial Engineering
and Management (IEM) research line. His research interests are in the domain of Occupational Health and Safety; Human Factors;
Ergonomics; Risk Management and Psychosocial Risks. He supervised several MSc. theses in the field of Psychosocial Risks,
Risk Management.
He participated in scientific committees of international congresses in the domain of Human Factors, such as SHO (in Portugal).
He has been published several publications such as book chapters, papers, international conference proceedings with peer review
in the domain of Human Factors and Ergonomics, Safety and Occupational Hygiene, and Psychosocial risks as author and (co)author.
He also collaborates, as a reviewer, with several international peer-reviewed scientific journals in the domain of Occupational
Health and Safety.
