Currently enrolled in the Doctorate in Public Policies at the University of Aveiro (Portugal) where is conducting research within the R&D Project ENVISION - Accelerating Environmental Assessment towards Sustainable Cities and Regions, PTDC/GES-URB/0804/2020, with the financial support of Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia/MCTES. The main interest and focus of the research is to understand and explore how to leverage urban systemic change towards sustainability through decision-making processes and the role of actors in local governance for sustainability. She has an academic degree of Master, in Architecture, in the area of specialization of Urbanism; and a bachelor¿s in architecture and Urbanism by University Federal of Ceará, Brazil. Also she holds a Postgraduate Certificate (MBA) in Business Management by Fundação Getúlio Vargas (Superior Institute of Economy and Administration), with the project of a sustainable Eco Village Residential. Qualified in sustainable urbanism and planning and experience as sustainable development consultant for public-private partnerships and sustainable construction and urbanism, LEED Green Associate credential by United States Green Building Council-USGBC. Worked for the Prefecture of Fortaleza, Brazil at the Municipal Secretariat of Urbanism and Environment, as the Executive Sub-coordinator of a multidisciplinary team, participating in research projects and planning for urban development and public policies and activities in partnership with international organizations for sustainable development (i.e., UN-Habitat, Bloomberg Philanthropies and ICLEI- Local Governments for Sustainability), including the elaboration process of the Fortaleza Master Plan, Fortaleza Walkability Plan and Plan for Low-Carbon Urban Development Strategies of Fortaleza. Participated in a project for the multilevel integrated management of the city's waterfront and its green infrastructure which was the case study of the article - Integrated Waterfront Management Project in Fortaleza: Orla Project 2018 - presented and published in 2019 at the 7th International Conference on Sustainable Development by Earth Institute, at Columbia University in New York. Published articles as main author, such as the paper "Planning for urban sustainability: a complex adaptive system analyses of the Lisbon Green Infrastructure" by Springer. And she has also presented scientific work at several international conferences.
