Domingos Barbosa completed a BSc degree in Chemical Engineering in 1982 at the University of Porto, Faculty of Engineering, Portugal, and a PhD in Chemical Engineering in 1987 at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, USA. He is Assistant Professor at the University of Porto, Faculty of Engineering. He has published 50 articles in specialized scientific journals, 3 book chapters, participated as a researcher in 35 projects and as Principal Investigator (PI) in 1 project. He works in the areas of Engineering Sciences and Technologies with an emphasis on Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Chemical Processes, Phase Equilibria, Distillation, Supercritical Extraction, Magnetic Separation / Classification, Nanotechnology and Hyperthermia.
