I am a researcher and member of the Coordination Board at Instituto de Astrofísica e Ciências do Espaço (IA). I completed my PhD in Astronomy in 2017 at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto (FCUP, Portugal), where I also obtained my MSc and BSc degrees in Astronomy in 2010 and 2012. During my BSc, I conducted research projects at Centro de Astrofísica da Universidade do Porto (IA/CAUP) and at Centro de Física do Porto through two FCT BII (Bolsa de Integração à Investigação) awarded in 2008 and 2009, respectively. The host institution for my MSc Thesis was IA/CAUP, which supported the research work through an FCT BI (Bolsa de Investigação). The research work for my PhD Thesis was supported by an FCT PhD scholarship (FCT Bolsa de Doutoramento) and was developed at IA/CAUP in collaboration with the University of Birmingham (UK), where I spent 8 months. In 2015 and 2017, I was a visiting scientist in Boulder (CO, USA) at the High Altitude Observatory, National Solar Observatory, and Space Science Institute (SSI) for a total of 5 months. In October 2017, I started a postdoctoral position at SSI, which supported my research through a NASA grant. In December 2020, I moved as a Researcher Fellow to the University of Warwick (UoW; UK), supporting my position through an STFC grant. Currently, I am a Researcher at IA funded through a Scientific Employment Stimulus contract with a grade of 9.8/10. As the first author, I have published 13 papers in scientific journals (3 in The Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series whose impact factor is 8.136, and a Perspective in Science whose impact factor is 47.728), and co-authored 29 other papers published in scientific journals. I also authored or co-authored 34 conference proceedings. In total, I have collected 1083 citations (H-index of 17). I produced 10 datasets, and presented 5 invited talks, 27 contributed talks, and 21 posters in numerous conferences and workshops. I also presented 15 seminars at 8 different institutions in the US (NSO, HAO, SSI, AMNH), Portugal (IA), UK (UoW), Spain (IAC), and France (CEA). I am also a peer reviewer for Science, The Astrophysical Journal, The Astronomical Journal, Astronomy & Astrophysics, Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, and Universe. I served on review panels for NASA HSR (Heliophysics Research Support), NASA LWS (Living with a Star), NASA ADAP (Astrophysics Data Analysis Program) programs, ESO’s Observing Programmes Committee, and numerous IA calls for Research Fellowships. I have been a member of the SOC for 6 conferences and 2 splinter sessions in conferences, and led the SOC and LOC of the Porto Summer School on Asteroseimology in 2024. I served as an organizer of the Research Seminars at IA for 2 years. In 2018, I became a junior member of the International Astronomical Union. I have contributed to numerous outreach activities presenting my research studies to different levels of students (from elementary school students to Bachelor's students) in Porto (Portugal), Lisbon (Portugal), and Boulder (CO, USA). I tutored 1 high school student at SSI and co-tutored 3 BSc students at UoW. I have supervised 2 PhD theses, 3 MSc theses, a 9-month research grant, and 9 shorter-term research projects of MSc and BSc students. I also contributed to five editions of the Summer School of Physics and two editions Physics Academy at Departamento de Física e Astronomia (DFA; FCUP). I have lectured in the Doctoral Program in Astronomy (DFA) for two years and in two Advances Summer Schools. I was also a guest editor for Frontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences. SSI awarded me with the Making a Difference Award in 2019.
