I am a father of two children and graduated in Environmental Sciences from the University of León in 2015, with Bachelors Degree Extraordinary Award of the University of León, and National Bachelor¿s Degree Award from the Ministry of Education. I obtained the Master's Degree in Natural Hazards in 2016 with Extraordinary Award. My PhD Thesis was carried out thanks to a FPU contract from the Ministry of Education between 2016 and 2021. My Dissertation, which was presented by compendium of 10 publications, obtained the qualification of Excellent Cum Laude (pending to apply for the Extraordinary Award), as well as the International Mention in Science by the University of León. As a result of my PhD research, I received the Carolina Rodriguez 2021 Foundation Award. Regarding my postdoctoral activity, I had two contracts of Access to the Spanish Science and Technology System at the University of León (2021-2022), and a prestigious contract from the Spanish Ramón Areces Foundation for postdoctoral research abroad (2022-2024) at the Centre for the Research and Technology of Agro-Environmental and Biological Sciences (CITAB) of the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD). Altogether, my stays abroad accumulate a value of almost one year. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor of Excellence in the Department of Biodiversity and Environmental Management at the University of León, and PhD Collaborator at the CITAB-UTAD. Regarding my research activity, in addition to CITAB researchers, I have collaborated closely with researchers from several prestigious international institutions, including the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), for which I am currently collaborating in one of their projects. It is worth mentioning the publication of 8 scientific papers considered of very high impact (IF JCR > 10) among my 44 JCR papers. I have participated in 15 research projects funded in competitive calls, 1 of them at local level, 4 regional projects, 6 national projects and 4 international projects. I am the principal investigator in one of the international projects. I have also participated in 5 transfer projects funded in competitive calls, two of them related to the transfer of research results through a Proof of Concept for patent registration, and in 2 teaching innovation projects. I have participated in 5 research contracts with companies, one of them as responsible researcher. Part of the work I have done in the framework of these projects has been published in 44 scientific papers published in JCR indexed journals that have received 877 citations (index h=17), 41 Q1, 20 of them D1, and 2 in Q2. 4 additional papers are currently under review. I am the first author in 70% of the papers. Among the journals with the highest impact are: Remote Sensing of Environment (I.F. = 13.850), ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (I.F. = 11.774) and Science of the Total Environment (I.F. = 10.753). In addition, I have published 1 full book as sole author, 7 book chapters and I have presented 47 communications at conferences: 35 international and 12 national, including a keynote at an international conference. I have participated in the organization of a congress. As for my teaching activity, I have taught 329 hours of official teaching in several subjects of the Degree in Environmental Sciences, the Degree in Biology, the Degree in Forestry Engineering, and the Master's Degree in Natural Risks. I have taught 7 training courses in public institutions and my teaching training has been complemented with the completion of 17 teaching innovation courses. Currently, I supervise 3 PhD Theses and I have supervised numerous Final Degree and Master's Degree projects.
