Susy Lopes is currently working as a researcher at the Coimbra Chemistry Center (CQC) hosted at the University of Coimbra. Susy Lopes graduated in Chemistry in 2003 and received her Master of Science degree in Chemistry-Physical Chemistry in July 2006, at the Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra. She obtained her PhD degree in 2011 at the University of Coimbra in Chemistry (Molecular Spectroscopy) and was awarded a Post-Doctoral grant by FCT and was Post-Doctoral researcher at the Coimbra Chemistry Center (CQC) and at the Laboratory of Physical Chemistry, Department of Chemistry of the University of Helsinki (Finland). Besides her PhD and Post-Doctoral work projects she has been team member in many scientific projects including bilateral projects between Portugal and Argentina. She has also been member of the organizing committees of Conferences organized by the Laboratory for Molecular Cryospectroscopy and Biospectroscopy group being the latest example the “XXXIV European Congress on Molecular Spectroscopy (EUCMOS 2018)” held in Coimbra. She is author of twenty scientific papers published in wide international journals (Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., J. Phys. Chem A, J. Photochem. Photobiol. A, J. Mol. Struct., Tetrahedron, Vib. Spectrosc., J. Chem. Phys.) and presented several communications in national and international conferences. Overall, her main research experience areas include low temperature matrix isolation, infrared spectroscopy, vibrational selective excitation, characterization of high-energy forms, photochemistry, molecular structure, conformational analysis and quantum chemistry calculations.
