Chandra Shekhar Misra completed Bachelors in Biotechnology (B.Tech) in 2011 by VIT University, India. He later worked for two years before moving to Portugal to obtain Masters in Biotechnology (MSc) in 2013 from Universidade de Lisboa Instituto Superior Técnico. Currently he is pursuing his PhD under Plants For Life PhD Program in Plant Genomics Group at Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência under the supervision of Dr. Jörg Becker. He is studying the transcriptomic changes in the sperm cells of Arabidopsis thaliana during pollen tube growth. He has published 6 papers and one book chapter. He has participated in various international conferences and presented work through oral and poster presentations.
