Clinical and health psychologist with a doctoral degree in Psychology from the Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal (2020). His thesis sought to find evidence for a differential characterology between religious and spiritual subjects, by answering the following question: what are the psychological invariants of religiosity and spirituality? He also carried out post-doctoral activities in psychology at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, Portugal (2022) as part of the "Transcultural Factors of Well-Being" project [eight-month contract]. Holds a master's degree in Clinical and Health Psychology from the Universidade de Aveiro (2013), a bachelor degree in Psychology from the Instituto Superior da Maia (2010), five postgraduate courses in psychology-related areas and more than 200 hours of complementary instruction. He did an internship at the Magalhães Lemos Psychiatric Hospital, Portugal (2012-2013) and went into private practice (2015-2019) under the supervision of Prof. José Conceição Martins, a pioneer of psychology in Portugal and former Catholic priest, from whom he got his interest for the psychology of religion and pastoral counselling. He completed his bachelor's degree in Philosophy at the Universidade do Porto, Portugal (2021). He received a grant from the same university to carry out research on Portuguese thought (2022-2024) [contract on an exclusive basis]. Hold competences in quantitative analysis by using SPSS, being able to perform descriptive (frequency distribution, variability, and central tendency) and inferential tests (correlation, mean differences, linear and multiple regressions). He has experience in structural equation modelling (SEM) through AMOS, as well as in the equivalence of measures through SEM and multi-group analyses.
