Samuel Gonçalves Almeida Encarnação completed degree in Physical Education at Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia do Sudeste de Minas Gerais - Câmpus Rio Pomba (IF - Sudeste MG), Master’s degree in physical Exercise and Health at Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV), Minas Gerais, Brazil, and PhD student in Physical Activity and Sports Science at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals, organized scientific and practical events, participated in events, co-supervised Master's dissertations, and received awards and honors. His works are concentrated in the Sport and Fitness Sciences field, emphasizing health care and prevention of older people. His research interests include Data science and programming languages (R and Python), Biostatistics, Mathematics and Exact sciences, Physical exercise and its effects on older adult’s health parameters, Olympic weightlifting training organization and athlete performance, sports periodization, Artificial Neural Networks and Machine Learning models, Alzheimer disease and rehabilitation, oncologic rehabilitation, prevention, mental health of different populations with emphasis in older adults, obesity in Adolescents, Molecular physiology and muscle cell research. Samuel has developed a strong practical and theoretical experience in the Sport and Fitness Sciences during his hole academic trajectory.
