Isabella Bracchi is a Nutritionist (4785N), Researcher, PhD Student at Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP), and an Invited Assistant at the School of Health of the Polytechnic of Porto. During her academic journey, Isabella graduated in 2020 with a degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from the Higher School of Health Sciences at the University of Algarve. Later, in 2022, she completed her Master's in Metabolism - Biopathology and Experimental at FMUP. During this time Isabella also took several professional and accredited courses, including "Laboratory Animal Science," "Experimental Design and Analysis of Data from Animal Experiments", "Writing and Publication of Scientific Articles" and "Essential Molecular Biology" at FMUP. During her scientific path, Isabella has been enrolled in 2 I&D projects: The IoMum: Iodine Status Monitoring in Portuguese Pregnant women: Impact of Supplementation (Clinical Trials: NCT04010708); and 2) The workpackage MHSWEET: Non-Nutritive sweeteners and fetal programming of metabolic health of the HEALTH-UNORTE: project (NORTE-01-0145-FEDER-000039). Her research areas focus on nutrition and metabolism during pregnancy and fetal programming. Isabella's scientific activity and production summarize in the authorship of 7 full papers (2 as a first author) in international scientific journals with scientific referee. She also submitted 10 abstracts to conference proceedings, presenting them as either posters or oral communications, being the first author for 4 of these works. Isabella also participated in many events in the field of nutrition sciences, being part of the organizing committee in some of them. Additionally, Isabella also co-supervised two undergraduate students. Finally, Isabella collects different distinctions such as two awards for best oral communication and an honorable mention for the presentation of a poster.
