António L. dos Santos is a graduate researcher at the University of Lisbon's Centre for Classical Studies. In 2019, he earned a Bachelor of General Studies degree from the University of Lisbon, with a major in Classical Studies and a minor in History. He then pursued his interest in Late Antiquity by earning a Master's Degree in History from the same institution in 2022, studying under Professor Rodrigo Furtado and specialising in Ancient History. In 2023, he also earned two graduate certificates from Almada's Instituto Superior de Estudos Interculturais e Transdiciplinares in Strategic Human Resource Management and Management of Social Economy Services. In the same year, he received a scholarship from the Centre for Classical Studies for his PhD project in Classical Studies, which he is currently pursuing at the University of Lisbon's School of Arts and Humanities under the supervision of Dr. Maijastina Kahlos, a Late Antique History expert and CEEC - Principal Researcher at the Centre for Classical Studies. In addition to his academic studies, he taught Portuguese at Escola Básica da Pontinha from January to August 2021. His primary research interests include Cultural History, Ethnogenesis, Identity Studies, Historiography, History of Religion, Representation and Identification of the 'Other', Late-Classical and High-Middle Ages Literature, and Textual Criticism.
