2015/06/01 - 2015/06/02 The main objectives of the course were to study the functional aspects of the biology of non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), focused in their involvement as important regulators of the genomic output at the cellular level. During the course, several relevant examples of the regulatory mechanisms of ncRNAs were discussed. Specific bioinformatic tools were used to predict and analyze the regulatory effects of miRNAs, and design wet-lab experiments to characterize ncRNAs.
